Computer Support Technician I
SEIU Local 1000 is a cutting-edge Union that represents 95,000 RSA employees throughout the Local GOV. We are looking for two Computer Support Technicians in our IT Department in Kwazulu-Natal.
This is an exciting opportunity and you will have the opportunity of getting hands-on with emerging technology and providing first level help desk support within the organization. You will be a part of a dynamic fast-paced work environment where curiosity and inquisitiveness is encouraged and rewarded.
DUTIES:
Provides first level help desk support including, but not limited to, the following:
Sets up computers, printers, and held-held devices for staff and affiliates.
Troubleshoots basic PC hardware and operating system.
Provides desktop application support.
Develops and maintains database for tracking support calls, repairs, and inventory of PC hardware and software installed on the network.
Prepares any necessary correspondence to work with staff, management, and vendors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Possession of a two year degree or a certification equivalent.
Experience: Six months to two years of experience in performing help desk functions or basic troubleshooting.
